Not easy losing someone you look upto for countless reasons which was not only the case with us but with many whose minds & hearts he touched including Mrs & Mr U.P Mukherji our NBD Housemaster who spoke of SM most fondly as is also indicative from messages we‘ve received from OS around his batch and others, far & wide. Although Bill Colledge an OS was many years senior to SM, they bonded very strongly & even the wedding dates were decided to ensure Bill C’s & wife Phillis’ presence. Subhash Malhotra OSN’59, Kamal Katoch Headboy’62, Kuljit Sethi Headboy‘60 & Arvind Sikand (late actor Pran’s son) with families & Rajiv Khanna Headboy’76 invariably got together almost every other weekend for a mini OS gathering in London but all good things sadly come to an end sooner or later. Subhash Malhotra’s passing leaves a big void and he will be missed dearly but “Lives of Great Men ( like our dearest respected Subhash Malhotra OSN’59) all remind us, we can make our lives sublime & departing, leave behind us footprints on the sands of time”. In grief - Son Atul Malhotra ( OS for a short period ) , Grandson Saahas Malhotra & Nephew Rajiv Khanna (OSN’77 & Headboy 1976)
