MANREET SIDHU (HGD 2006)
Manreet is an Orthodontist in Delhi. She did her BDS from Bangalore and then her Masters in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, and has been awarded a membership in Orthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh UK. She is a consultant with a number of clinics and has her own Practice under the name of, 'The Dental Experience' in GK 2, Delhi. During the lockdown her clinic was open for emergency procedures, albeit without any staff. She also spent the lockdown cleaning, cooking, attending webinars, watering plants and becoming the official beautician and hairdresser for the family!
RAOUL BERY (VBD 2006)
Raoul is an E-commerce consultant in New Delhi. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in the USA and Nottingham University in the UK, he started an e-commerce consulting agency called 'Encompass Consulting' which helps home grown brands scale their business globally and domestically. During the lockdown his work actually increased and his agency kept crushing it for its clients. He quit smoking. He also spent a considerable amount of time practicing his newly acquired video editing skills by making a birthday video for his friend, Siddharth Rateria (NBD 2006).
NEHA JHALA (NGD 2004)
Neha is a General Dentist working in a community health centre with Mass General Hospital (Harvard) in Boston. She completed her BDS in India, pursued fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU and then completed her DMD from Boston University. During Covid-19, as many private dental offices closed, her role as a public health dentist came to light. She continued to provide treatment for dental emergencies which helped prevent community spread and brought down the load of ER. She also added many more roles to her career - a full time mom, she taught her older son to bike, became a house cleaner, chef, full time teacher and germ police. In her video, her sons and their school friends thank all healthcare workers and first responders. This was shared by the Mayor of Boston and went viral!
