Mala Anand passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2021. She led an enriching, interesting & unconventional life. She was the 9th Indian girl to join The Lawrence School Sanawar in 1949. Mala went on to be the Himalaya house prefect in 1956 & Head Girl in 1957. An amazing sportsperson, Mala was a part of all the school teams. She held several records in athletics. Her name is up on the boards in Barne Hall. She also is a recipient of the Honoria Lawrence Cup. 

The Old Sanawarian Fraternity the world over, condole the sad demise of one of its own. An OS who was proud to be an OS till her very last breath. 

Mrs and Justice Anand were Chief Guests for Founder's in 2000. Mala Anand also served on the Board of Governors of the Lawrence School Sanawar Society. 

Our heartfelt condolences to her daughters Shabnam Nath (NGD '82), Munisha Gandhi (NGD '85) & Jyotika Malhotra (NGD '90). Mala will be deeply missed. RIP
