Lt Gen Ajai Singh, AVSM assumed charge as the 16th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN) on 01 June 21. The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) is the only tri-services theatre command of the country and is a harbinger of the larger similarly planned theaterisation of the country’s Army, Navy and Air Force capabilities.
