Mrs Shivinder Sidhu passed away on 28th December 2019 in Chandigarh. She was 90 years old. Mrs Sidhu was a young widow when she joined Sanawar as prep school matron in July 1963. Her husband late Maj Shivdev Sidhu was martyred during the liberation of Goa in 1961. She later became senior school girls matron for Himalaya and Nilagiri in 1977 and retired from Sanawar in 1983. Mrs Sidhu was loved both by her prep school wards and senior school girls for her caring and generous nature. She is survived by her three daughters Shivjot, Shivdeep and Shivroop , who all studied in Sanawar. Her daughters are all married. 

She will be missed by her colleagues and children who knew her.
