Shiva Keshavan OS 99 receives the Arjuna Award

The Old Sanawarian Society heartily congratulates Shiva Keshavan (OS '99) & OS Achiever 2017 for receiving the Arjuna Award from The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind on National Sports Day August 29th 2020. The Arjuna Awards are given by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India to recognize outstanding achievement in National sports. Shiva Keshavan is a six time Olympian and the first Indian representative to compete in Luge at the Winter Olympic Games. He set a new Asian speed record at 134.3 km/h after beating the previous record of 131.9 km/h and won a gold medal in the 2011 Asian Luge Cup at Nagano in Japan. Congratulations Shiva!
