ADIL SINGH GREWAL (HBD 2015)

Adil is a Chef by profession and an Artist by passion, who sells custom shoes and tattoo designs etc. Since he is a Chef, he spent time cooking cuisines from different parts of the world with whatever he could salvage during the lockdown in Goa with his Mamu (uncle) who is also an Old Sanawarian, Hari Nakai (NBD 1995). The silver lining of the lockdown was that he indulged in a lot of art since he had ample time, without any distractions, to explore his creative side. He adds that he got to know himself better and reconnected with old friends. His video is a snippet of him cooking Goan Pork Chilli Fry.

Disturbed by the plight of Indian migrant workers she ran a two week #shoppingforacausecampaign on her Instagram business page @sweetslumbernightwear. She decided that 50% of all collections made each time someone shopped with her, would be donated towards helping organisations doing humanitarian work. The end result was that she was able to donate a sum of Rs. 50,000 to various organisations such as, Aasraa Trust (run by an OS, Shaila Brijnath [HGD 1982] , Lotus Rescue India (run by an OS, Ruplekha Banerjee Sinha [VGD 1995], Ketto India (through which she donated to an OS, Sehaj Mann's [VGD 2006] fundraiser that was set up to personally arrange for buses to help migrant workers reach their homes), Goonj, Save the Children India and Annapurna Movement. Her video is a compilation of the donations made.

SUNAMIKA BRAR (HGD 1995)

Sunamika graduated from Bentley University in Boston and is a freelance Analyst. They bonded over household chores, cooking, playing badminton, playing cards, scrabble, and taking evening walks around the house. They also did spring cleaning and gave away a lot of clothes to the needy. Sunamika did her crossfit workouts religiously with Shrug Life Crossfit (owned by an OS, Kabir Dhaliwal [NBD 2007]) to stay fit and positive and partook in daily online challenges. She learnt kitchen hacks and recipes such as banana bread and a variety of cheesecake. She also tried her hand at gardening.
